Zimbra Document Editor: Editing Word & Excel Documents in Zimbra

Ever been faced with the situation where you download a document attachment, edit them on your computer, then reattach them again, all for the sake of making a small change? Now it's even better with Zimbra.

With just a few steps, you can simplify your workflow. The trick is to use the Zimbra Briefcase:

	1. Click on the "Briefcase" link besides any email attachment received.
	2. Click on a Briefcase folder where to save the document to.
	3. Switch to the briefcase tab. Drag & Drop the file to "Document Editor" Zimlet. (Click the downward arrow on the left panel to show the list of Zimlets).
	4. Make changes to the document. Click the save button (top-left corner) when you are done.
	5. You may now share this document with others (via Zimbra Shared Folders for easy access), or you may now attach it when replying to any email. That's it!
	Conclusion: Easy? Shared briefcase documents can even be edited collaboratively with others (real-time). This means changes made by others appear or fade-in immediately (within the web-based editor), even as you are still working on other parts of the document. This removes the headache of sending files to-and-fro.
